The executive committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has come down heavily on several league referees for poor officiating.
According to a statement from the FA, referee J A Amenyah was banned until mid-season for wrongfully awarding two penalties to Ebusua Dwarfs against Bechem United.
Assistant referee Isaac Effah Tetteh was also given a 13-week ban for making controversial decisions in the game between Asante Kotoko and Tema Youth.
Referee Vincent Otoo earned a four-week ban for his failure to keep pace with the game between Kotoko and Tema Youth which resulted in his inability to award a penalty.
Seidu Bomison was banned for six weeks for wrongly disallowing a goal scored by Arsenal in their game against Wassaman United.
Referees Ali Musah Plato, S B Bortey and Solomon Mordey were banned for four weeks each for their roles in suspicious decisions.
Plato was punished for denying Medeama a penalty in the match against Wa All Stars while Mordey went into the bad books for disallowing Mighty Jets a penalty against Hearts.
Bortey has been banned for four weeks with effect from the third week of the Glo Premier League.
