Sky Italia understands that Fiorentina are considering a summer bid for Atalanta midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura.
The 24-year-old is another product of club’s youth academy and he has long been linked with a big club move.
Bonaventura, however, struggled for form in the opening exchanges, but has seriously raised his game of late, helping Orobici record four successive Serie A victories.
And Sky Italia has learned that his fine performances did not go unnoticed, with Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella expressing interest in his services.
Viola are expected to further reinforce the squad ahead of the new season and the Atalanta star is one of their primary targets for the summer transfer window.
Giacomo ‘Jack’ Bonaventura has so far amassed 121 league appearances for the club, scoring 23 goals in the process.
He was handed his Italy debut in an international friendly against San Marino back in May 2013 and his recent form could see him return into international reckoning.
