Tuttosport is reporting that AC Milan striker Gianluigi Lapadula is set to be offloaded in the summer transfer window.
The Italian forward did well to oust Carlos Bacca from the starting line-up last term and ended up bagging 8 goals in 12 Serie A starts.
Lapadula also enjoyed a dream Italy debut, scoring a hat-trick in the 8-0 triumph over San Marino, but he has now received some bad news.
Namely, having signed Andre Silva from FC Porto and hoping to also lure Fiorentina’s Nikola Kalinic to San Siro, the Rossoneri seem prepared to cash in on the 27-year-old.
AC Milan could send Lapadula to Artemio Franchi as part of the deal bringing Kalinic, while Premier League newcomers Brighton are also believed to be keen on his services.
Even if some promising showings in his first ever Serie A campaign may not prove sufficient to secure a place in AC Milan’s squad for next season, the striker clearly did enough to continue playing on the highest level.
