(GSM) – Ryan Giggs has spoken strong words ahead of Friday’s Champions League draw for the last eight. The Manchester United winger insists they don’t fear anyone and would relish a clash with former Chelsea adversary Jose Mourinho’s Internazionale.
Giggs described watching Inter knock out Chelsea on Tuesday night ‘gripping football’.
But despite the Italians’ solid defence in the 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge, Giggs believes United would down the Nerazzurri if the two teams are paired in the quarter-finals.
“We wouldn’t mind playing Inter next,” Giggs admitted.
“Whoever we get will be tough but we just hope to perform at our best.
“There are clubs with a big history in the tournament like Bayern Munich, ourselves and Barcelona.
“But there are other teams too like Bordeaux, CSKA Moscow and Lyon – who knocked out Real Madrid – who will be equally tough.”
The draw for the quarter-finals takes place in Nyon, Switzerland from 12.00CET.
