Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac has a long list of admirers in English Premier League, according to Joey Barton’s agent William McKay.
The powerful forward has finally started to prove his worth at Stade Velodrome, but with his contract valid for two more years, OM officials believe this is the perfect time to cash in on the player.
Gignac has recently been linked with a move to English Premier League and the official representative of his teammate Joey Barton confirms a switch to England is a realistic possibility.
“I spoke to many English clubs about Gignac,” agent William McKay explained to Le Parisien.
“They are interested in his profile; with his power, the player is a good fit for the Premier League.”
Andre-Pierre Gignac joined Marseille in a €16 million move from Lorient back in 2010, but he needed some time to adapt to the new surroundings.
After netting just 9 league goals in first two years at the club, he raised his form to score 13 goals in 31 Ligue 1 matches last term.
However, he has yet to return to international reckoning, having last played for France at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
