Gilberto Silva has said on his Incredible Wall podcast that Aston Villa star Jack Grealish would be a good signing for Arsenal in the future.
The Arsenal legend believes that the Gunners should have made a move for the England international attacking midfielder in the summer of 2020.
Silva was impressed by the display produced by the 25-year-old during Villa’s 3-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League last weekend.
“Grealish, amazing,” Silva said on his Incredible Wall podcast. “It seems like he could be a player that Arsenal missed. With his ability, in the middle, he plays beautiful football.
“He controls the ball, assists and can score goals. He is slightly different from Dennis Bergkamp, but he could be somebody for the future at Arsenal.”
How did Jack Grealish play against Arsenal?
Grealish is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and was brilliant against the Gunners for Villa, who are rated at 16/1 by Betfair to finish in the top four this season.
The 25-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, was heavily involved in two of the goals that Villa scored and could have added his name on the scoresheet as well.
According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old took five shots of which two were on target, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 81.8%, took 49 touches, attempted two dribbles, and made one interception.
Grealish has made seven appearances in the Premier League for Villa so far this season, scoring four goals and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
