Giovinco talks up January exit

Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco could leave the Bianconeri in January, according to the player’s official representative.

The 27-year-old struggled for playing time under both Antonio Conte and Max Allegri, and he made mere two league appearances this season.

Considering that the club have yet to offer him a new deal even if his current one expires in the summer, everything suggests Giovinco will be leaving in January.

And even if the forward would gladly stay in Turin if his status at the club improves, his agent has warned the Bianconeri that the player’s patience is quickly running out.

“Either there is a viable plan for him, or he can leave,” agent Andrea D’Amico told Tiki Taka, a program on Mediaset TV. “Giovinco grew up with Juventus, then went out and proved his worth.

“It makes me wonder why people are surprised when he plays well. Who would be interested (if he was to leave)? It’s obvious, everyone would be.”

Sebastian Giovinco returned for the second spell with Juventus following two impressive campaigns at Parma, but that proved to be a wrong career move for him.

The Italy international failed to establish himself as a first team regular and is widely expected to leave the Bianconeri for good in the upcoming transfer window.
