La Liga is back for yet another weekend of footballing action that will surely bring no end to the goals, shocks and controversy. Every side in the league will be aware of how important it is to pick up three points this weekend as the league table has remained incredibly tight, and with this in mind, Girona host Las Palmas on Saturday.

Girona have been in decent form this season and they are looking to press on in their bid for survival. After 18 games they have won six, drawn five and lost seven, while they have scored 22 goals and conceded 28 times. In their last five games they have lost three times and won twice, while two of those defeats came in their last two games, meaning they are in need of a win to get back on track. The 23 points they have accumulated this season means they are eight clear of the relegation zone, and another win would only see the confidence that they are going to stay up this season rise.

Las Palmas have been awful this season. After 18 games they have won three, drawn twice and lost 13 games, while they have scored 14 times and conceded 40.
