Spanish minnows Girona have earned promotion to La Liga for the first time in club’s 87-year history.
A goalless draw with Real Zaragoza was good enough for the Catalan side to secure the point which locked them in second in the Segunda Division with one round to spare.
As Girona join already promoted Levante, who won the second-tier competition, their fans stormed the pitch in celebration.
