According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud is considering the possibility of leaving Chelsea if he is unable to feature heavily in the starting XI as opposed to as a substitute. The Frenchman, who is coming off the back of another strong international performance for the France national team, has only started once in the Premier League during the early stage of the new campaign. Giroud is widely considered to be one of the most divisive forwards in the last ten years of the top flight, with some fans calling him overrated and others believing he’s pretty underrated.
Either way, though, a Premier League without Giroud in it would be a very upsetting place to be. He has supposedly received interest from Major League Soccer in the United States, and if that does indeed prove to be the case, we imagine they’ll be putting forward a substantial financial offer.
