According to L’Equipe, Olivier Giroud isn’t planning on retiring from international duty. The French forward, who helped to lead Les Bleus towards World Cup glory this past summer in Russia, has been linked with a potential retirement following Laurent Koscielny’s decision to do the same. Alas, the 32 year old forward still seems to believe that he brings something to the table for his nation, even though he likely only has one big tournament left in him before hanging up his boots.
Giroud is considered to be one of the more underrated international stars in world football, with his hold up play being equally as impressive as his goalscoring ability. The Chelsea striker has done well since arriving at Stamford Bridge, following on from the form that he showcased at the Emirates. During his time with Arsenal he became a fan favourite, and the same is expected to happen with Chelsea.
