According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Olivier Giroud will travel to Italy tonight in order to complete his proposed move to AC Milan.
The Chelsea forward is likely to agree to a two year deal that will be worth around €3.5 million, ensuring that he remains at the elite level for at least a few more seasons yet. Giroud has always been a polarising striker with some not valuing what he can do and others believing he’s dramatically underrated. Regardless of which category you fall into, though, we’d say this is a good deal for both parties.
Giroud has proven that he can still go at this level, and Milan need a gamechanger who can come on and put the cat amongst the pigeons.
They’ve already proven that a veteran striker can succeed for them through Zlatan, so why not give Giroud a go? There’s definitely intrigue there, at the very least.
