According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Olivier Giroud has signed a new deal to stay at AC Milan until summer 2024.
The 36-year-old, who scored the goal that ultimately took the club through to the semi-finals of the Champions League earlier this week, has enjoyed his stay in Italy since signing back in 2021. He played a key role in helping them to Serie A success, following on from a strong run in English football with Chelsea and Arsenal.
While he may be entering the twilight of his career, that hasn’t stopped the Frenchman from continuing to be an effective goalscorer when called upon.
Milan, of course, recognise what he brings to the table, with the new deal reportedly earning hm around €3.5 million net plus add-ons.
There’s always a chance that he’ll head back to France next summer or perhaps elsewhere before retiring. Either way, Milan won’t want to let go of him anytime soon.
