Giroud to hold talks with Chelsea

According to a recent report from L’Equipe, Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud is set to hold talks with the club as he goes after some assurances following a distinct lack of playing time as of late. The veteran forward has only started one game in the Premier League so far this season, with some of the younger stars being given the priority spots. Giroud isn’t exactly said to be passionately going after a move away from Stamford Bridge, but at the same time, he is definitely going to entertain the idea if and when Frank Lampard lets him know that he isn’t going to be featured all too regularly in their first team plans from this point on. 

The expectation is that a side like Inter Milan could make a move as they’ve already noted how interested they are in the Frenchman, but whether or not they could get a deal over the finish line during the January transfer window is a different matter altogether.
