Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi is planning a return to La Liga.
Fiorentina forward returned to action this season following another injury, but he has been unable to rediscover his form and force his way into the Viola squad.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the 28-year-old is set for a return to Spain with Levante offering the Italian international an escape route.
Agent Andrea Pastorello confirmed that Rossi will play at Levante until the end of the season adding that the main reason why Fiorentina player chose Levante is that the Spanish outfit were ‘the team that most believed in him’.
“We are closing the negotiations. We are not disappointed but we are not leaving Fiorentina happy. But it is better to separate as Levante will offer Rossi a chance to play”, Pastorello told Mundo Deportivo.
La Liga outfit will reportedly take Rossi on loan before he moves to Villarreal at the end of the season for a fee believed to be in the region of €6 million.
Rossi has not given up on Italy however as his agent reveals the player’s desire to come back to Serie A one day.
For the time being, Rossi’s main aim is to play get back in form hoping he will be included in Conte’s Euro 2016 squad.
