Borussia Dortmund’s search for an away win continues after they drew 1-1 away to Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Nuri Sahin’s side went a goal up 20 minutes into the second half through a wonderful solo effort from Jamie Gittens, but were pegged back six minutes later by a Kevin Stoger penalty.
Dortmund have taken just two points from their six away games in the league and are fifth in the table, 12 points back on leaders Bayern Munich.
Gladbach, meanwhile, are 11th in the Bundesliga on 18 points and were also reduced to 10 men in stoppage time after 89th-minute substitute Tomas Cvancara picked up two bookings in as many minutes.
The hosts almost grabbed a winner with nine minutes to go, although Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel was able to tip Robin Hack’s shot onto the crossbar to keep them level.
It was Dortmund themselves who ended the game by applying the most pressure, though they were unable to find a breakthrough, which means their away-day troubles continue.

Data debrief: In-form Gittens unable to end Dortmund away funk
Twenty-year-old Gittens has now scored in four successive matches in all competitions for Dortmund and is on nine goals in total for the season.
But even his rich vein of form was unable to give his side a first away victory of the season in the Bundesliga.
They are now one of just five teams in the league yet to win on the road.
