Gladbach boss rules out Dante move

Borussia M’gladbach coach Lucien Favre has made it clear that he will not be attempting to recruit former player Dante.

The Brazilian defender has lost his place in the side at Alianz Arena and he was recently linked with a return to Monchengladbach.

Die Fohlen chief Max Eberl even hinted that the club would try and bring Dante back to Borussia Park, but it appears the transfer is not feasible after all.

With the Brazilian currently earning a lot more than Borussia’s highest paid players, coach Lucien Favre has effectively ruled out a move for the experienced defender.

“Dante will not come back to Gladbach. That is definitely impossible,” Favre explained to Welt am Sonntag.

Dante left Borussia to join Bayern Munich in the summer of 2012 and has since enjoyed a great deal of success with the Bavarians.

The 31 year old went on to make 89 Bundesliga appearances for the Alianz Arena outfit, lifting two league trophies in the process.
