Bayern Munich defender Dante is on the radar of his former club Borussia M’gladbach, Bild can reveal.
The highly rated footballer has surprisingly lost his place in the side at Alianz Arena and it appears that he won’t be staying with the Bavarians for much longer despite the fact that his contract runs until June 2017.
Recent reports have suggested that former club Borussia M’gladbach could make a move for his services, and die Fohlen general manager Max Eberl has moved to confirm the reports.
“The contact with Dante has never been broken. We’ll see how it goes for us and how it goes for him,” Eberl confessed to Sky.
The only obstacle to the Brazilian’s potential return to Borussia Park is the fact that he currently earns twice as much as Borussia’s highest-paid footballer.
But, in case Dante agrees to a pay cut, then a return to Monchengladbach would become a realistic possibility.
Die Fohlen are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements seeing as Roel Brouwers and Filip Daems will be out of contract at the end of the season.
