Bundesliga giants Borussia M’gladbach are considering a summer bid for Young Boys midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to Sport Bild.
Die Fohlen recently cashed in on star footballer Mahmoud Dahoud, who agreed a move to Borussia Dortmund and they see the 20-year-old as a good, long-term replacement.
Sporting director Max Eberl has elected Zakaria as his number one target for the summer transfer window, and they expect to pay €10 million for his services.
The talented youngster has already been compared to Patrick Vieira for his style of play and a summer move to Bundesliga would be a logical choice.
Zakaria has another three years left on his deal with Young Boys, meaning he will not be available on the cheap, while latest reports suggest that RB Leipzig and clubs from England are also keen.
The towering midfielder made a total of 29 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 1 goal and setting up another.
