Borussia Moenchengladbach have agreed to sign striker Branimir Hrgota from Jonkoping, the club announced on their official website.
The 19-year-old arrives to Stadion im Borussia Park on a free transfer and he will sign a deal until June 2016 when his contract in Sweden expires on 31st October.
The German club were delighted to have signed one of the hottest prospects in European football.
“Branimir Hrgota is a very interesting player, a quick and dangerous winger whom we believe has to ability to establish himself in the Bundesliga,” said Borussia director of sport Max Eberl.
The club official revealed that the player could join Borussia even sooner than expected.
“We’re now in talks with Jönköping to try to sign Branimir from 1 July.”
The promising striker has turned down several lucrative offers to sign for Borussia, and he believes the club’s policy of nurturing young talent will help him realize his potential.
“Borussia are a club who put their faith in young players,” Hrgota said. “I’m a young player and I see my future at this club.”
The young forward has been in scintillating form last season, scoring 18 goals in 25 matches in Swedish second division.
Hrgota is part of Sweden Under-19 squad and has so far scored 3 goals in 8 appearances for the side.
