Borussia M’gladbach winger Patrick Herrmann has revealed that he could be moving to English Premier League in the near future.
The 24-year-old has been one of die Fohlen’s star performers for several years now, and it appears he is ready to search for a new challenge.
Bild has learned that a €20 million buy-out clause in his contract will be activated in the summer, with Borussia officials desperately trying to persuade Herrmann to sign a new deal and remove said option.
The highly rated winger admits he is quite happy at Borussia Park, but suggests he could quit die Fohlen in favour of a Premier League switch.
“I feel completely comfortable with Borussia, but you have to consider carefully: whether you want to spend your entire career at a club, or you want to do something different and dare to move abroad?” Herrmann confessed to Bild.
“I have always said that I find the Premier League very exciting, but Bundesliga is the best league in Europe at the moment.”
Patrick Herrmann has spent his entire career up to date with Borussia, scoring 27 goals in 149 Bundesliga outings.
He has yet to be handed his Germany debut, although he received a call-up for the 2014 World Cup qualifying double header against Kazakhstan.
