Gladbach to pay top dollar for Chelsea starlet

Borussia M’gladbach are readying a big money offer for Chelsea defender Anderas Christensen, according to Bild.

The Danish stopper joined die Fohlen on a two-year loan deal last summer, and he quickly developed into an important player at Borussia Park.

The 20-year-old has largely impressed playing in the heart of defence and Borussia chiefs are now eager to purchase his contract.

Having received a major windfall from the sale of Granit Xhaka to Arsenal, die Fohlen are ready to splash out on Christensen, although it is believed they will need to offer at least €20 million.

Chelsea officials reportedly see Christensen as an heir to club icon John Terry, but die Fohlen manager Max Eberl appears to have an ace up his sleeve.

Namely, Borussia M’gladbach are prepared to offer the Blues the right of first refusal on their target Thorgan Hazard, yet another player they have regretted to have let go.
