Gladbach to purchase Christensen from Chelsea

Sport Bild has suggested that Borussia M’gladbach hope to turn Andreas Christensen’s loan deal into permanent move.

Die Folhen were able to agree a two-year loan for the talented defender last summer and that proved a very good piece of business as the Dane has since impressed playing for the Borussia Park outfit.

The 19-year-old quickly nailed down a regular starting berth and has been one of club’s star performers this season.

As a result, Borussia M’gladbach chiefs are eager to try and buy out his contract from Chelsea, and coach Andre Schubert has admitted that he would like Christensen to stay beyond the summer of 2017.

Even though they see the Danish centre-back as a hot prospect for the future, it is believed that the Blues would consider offers in the region of €15 million.

The good news is that the Blues do not have the option to take the player back before June 2017, that is unless they want to pay a pre-determined fee.
