Gladbach to sign Josip Drmic

La Gazzetta dello Sport has learned that Borussia M’gladbach are on the verge of signing Swiss forward Josip Drmic from Bayer Leverkusen.

Die Fohlen have seen Max Kruse move to Wolfsburg and they wasted no time in signing him a replacement.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the deal taking Josip Drmic to Borussia Park should be completed in the coming days.

The Switzerland international joined Bayer Leverkusen last summer following an impressive debut campaign with Nurnberg, but he in turn largely struggled for first team opportunities, spending most of the time playing second fiddle to Stefan Kiessling.

Drmic, nonetheless, did well to score 6 goals in 5 Bundesliga starts, and in turn secured a lucrative move to Borussia M’gladbach.

Die Fohlen seem to believe that the former Zurich hotshot has what it takes to successfully replace Max Kruse and help the club in their Bundesliga and Champions League campaigns.
