Glen Johnson could be on his way out of Liverpool as the Reds prepare to sign Rennes full-back Rod Fanni.
The England international was disappointed with the criticism he had received from boss Roy Hodgson last month and he is reportedly eager to leave Anfield as early as January.
Tottenham, Juventus and Bayern Munich have all shown interest in the England international and they could start a true bidding war for Johnson in January.
The former Chelsea player arrived to Anfield just 18 months ago for the fee of £18 million but he failed to justify a hefty price tag and is now expected to be sold so as to make way for much cheaper option that is Rod Fanni.
The Reds plan a major squad overhaul in January and they could certainly use the money from Johnson’s sale.
