Glen Kamara has recommitted his future to Rangers by signing a new four-year contract, the Scottish Premiership champions have confirmed.
The 25-year-old midfielder was recently linked with the departure from the club. Arsenal were credited with strong interest in his services for a while, but Kamara says the decision to renew his deal with Rangers was an easy one.
“I have absolutely loved my time here and being a part of the title-winning team last season has given me the hunger to try to win even more in the seasons ahead,” he told the club’s official website.
“It was an easy decision for me to sign and I want to thank the manager, [sporting director] Ross Wilson and the board for the faith they have shown in me.”
As for the manager, Steven Gerrard described Kamara as a highly respected member of his squad, with great technical ability and leadership qualities that have been on show ever since his arrival from Dundee FC in 2018.
