Given Singuluma scored his fifth African Nations Championship goal as Zambia came from behind to defeat Senegal 2-1 in Ivory Coast on Saturday and finish third.
Alpha Sow claimed his second goal of a tournament for local-based stars on 22 minutes, springing an offside trap to beat goalkeeper Jacob Banda and give the Senegalese ‘Lions’ a half-time advantage.
Simon Bwalya, a half-time replacement for Henry Banda, levelled four minutes into the second half after a goalmouth scramble and Singuluma snatched the winner on 74 minutes after breaking clear and outwitting goalkeeper Biti Sy.
Singuluma, who had trials at Finnish club Haka ahead of the maiden Nations Championship, scored a hat-trick in the opening game of the tournament against Ivory Coast and one in a semi-finals loss to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
It was the second meeting of the countries in the Ivorian economic capital Abidjan following a goalless draw last week in a group match dominated by the Senegalese.
The final on Sunday pits joint top seeds and title favourites Ghana against DR Congo with the former hoping to become the first country to win all four African Football Confederation national team titles.
