Cagliari midfielder Godfred Donsah has added fuel to speculation linking him with a summer move to English Premier League.
The 18-year-old has been a sort of revelation for the Isolani this season and his impressive displays in Italian Serie A did not go unnoticed.
Donsah is believed to be on the radar of Premiership giants Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool, and it appears that England could be his next destination.
In a long interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ghanaian has revealed that he dreams about playing in English Premier League.
“If one day I do go to the Premier League, then I will owe it to Cagliari,” the youngster said.
“My mother would give me money every now and then, about €2, to see the games at a local bar. That’s how I started supporting Chelsea and my idol Michael Essien. I have his jersey.”
The highly rated footballer did really well to nail down a regular starting berth under Gianfranco Zola, making 15 Serie A appearances and scoring 2 goals.
Donsah is expected to start today’s clash with Hellas Verona as well, where Cagliari are 19/20 favourites to defeat the Gialloblu and improve their survival hopes, seeing as they are now three points adrift of safety.
