Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin says he would entertain a move to Chelsea amid reported interest from the English Premier League club.
Chelsea were said to have made a bid for the central defender in January, but were unsuccessful in their attempts to land the Uruguayan.
But the former Villarreal man has given the west London club hope by confirming he would be open to a Premier League switch.
“If there is interest from Chelsea, I will study it,” Godin said.
“At the moment, there is nothing. For now I am at Atletico Madrid and I am not thinking of anything else. There is nothing official.”
Godin remained respectful to his current employers, saying the La Liga outfit had ‘given me everything’.
“I owe a lot to Atletico and I cannot say that I would like to play for another team. I have great respect (for Atletico), a contract and the team have given me everything,” he said.
The 25-year-old defender joined Atletico in August 2010 for eight million euros, signing a five-year deal.
