Gomes happy at Everton

Barcelona loanee Andre Gomes says he’s happy at Everton at the moment.

The midfielder apparently spoke to Sky Sports and told them that he was “very happy” with the club he currently plays for, but also that he’d wait for the summer before deciding on whether he wants to stay on Merseyside permanently.

The 25 year old is having a great season at Goodison Park right now. He has played 22 Premier League games for the Toffees so far, and earned the respect of the fans and the trust of manager Marco Silva.

However, as things stand at the moment, Gomes is due to return to Camp Nou in the summer, and following Barcelona’s acquisition of Frenkie de Jong who is set to join them from Ajax, there are even question marks over the futures of those already there, namely Ivan Rakitić and Philippe Coutinho.

It’s hard to imagine Gomes returning and remaining a Barcelona player at the end of the upcoming transfer window.
