Swansea City have agreed a deal for France international Bafetimbi Gomis, according the the Mail Online.
Premier League rivals Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Sunderland, and Turkish giants Galatasaray had also been linked with a move for the 28 year old, but the South Wales side have won the race to secure his services.
The forward, who has been a free agent since leaving Lyon, underwent a medical on Tuesday evening having agreed personal terms with the South Wales side.
He has reached double figures in each of his last eight seasons in Ligue One, the last five of which were spent with Lyon having signed from their rivals Saint Etienne, the side with which he began his career.
He has scored three times in twelve appearances for France, though he failed to make Didier Deschamps 23-man squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
