Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Gonzalo Castro could be leaving Bay Arena at the end of the season, according to Bild.
The 27-year-old footballer has been in excellent form this term and he has especially impressed since being moved to the attacking midfield position.
Castro produced his best performance of the season in the weekend’s 4-0 win over Hamburg, scoring two goals and being involved in the other two as well.
And with his contract due to expire in June 2016, the highly rated midfielder is now being linked with a summer exit.
According to Bild, Bayern Munich are keen on his services and the Bavarians are aware of a €10 million release clause in his contract.
Atletico Madrid are another high-profile side that have shown interest so far, and it looks as though the former Germany international will have a decision to make at the end of the season.
Castro did, however, reveal that he was ready to negotiate a new deal with his current employers.
