Goodwillie makes Rovers move

Scottish forward David Goodwillie has finally completed his move to English Premier League outfit Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday.

Goodwillie, 22, completed a medical at Blackburn on Tuesday after having already agreed personal terms with the 1994/95 English champions.

But the move did not go through, with Scottish Premier League club Rangers tabling a seventh bid to Dundee United believed to be the equal of Blackburn’s offer.

Just a day later and the transfer was finally confirmed, however, with the striker becoming Steve Kean’s second off-season signing, joining former Aberdeen defender Myles Anderson.

He has signed a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee, reported to be approximately two million pounds.

Goodwillie won the Scottish Young Player of the Year award last season after he netted 17 goals in 37 SPL appearances.
