Goodwillie set for Blackpool switch

Blackpool are set to sign striker David Goodwillie on loan from Blackburn Rovers for the rest of the season, according to Sky Sports.

Barry Ferguson, who was placed in temporary charge of the Tangerines follow Paul Ince’s dismissal earlier this week, is keen on bringing his fellow Scot as he aims to bring to an end the clubs abysmal form.

They have lost nine of their last ten games in all competitions, drawing the other, and are now just six points from safety in the Championship.

Goodwillie, who has made just ten starts for Rovers since joining from Dundee United has spent the whole of this season so far back on loan at Tannadice Park, scoring six goals in twenty-one appearances.

Blackpool host Doncaster Rovers on Saturday afternoon looking to secure their first victory since they beat Sheffield Wednesday at the end of November, and can be backed for the win at 21/20.
