According to a recent report from SportBild, Atalanta defender Robin Gosens has revealed that he is interested in playing in the German Bundesliga one day. The German has been with Atalanta since back in 2017, and started his official professional career over in the Netherlands. Unfortunately he has never had the chance or opportunity to play with a club in his homeland, but it would appear as if he wants that to change sooner rather than later.
Alas, despite his desires, Borussia Dortmund aren’t actually believed to be interested in signing Gosens – contrary to alternative reports as of late. They took him on trial several years ago, but didn’t end up signing him to their books.
Regardless of whether or not Gosens gets the move in the summer transfer window or beyond, this kind of statement is sure to create some tension with his current teammates over at Atalanta.
The Italian club are currently enjoying a strong season in Serie A, where they are in 7th place.
