(GSM) – A disappointing result for both sides as IFK Göteborg and Örebro held each other to a goalless draw in Thursday’s only Swedish Allsvenskan match.

Göteborg were desperate for a win after earning only 13 points from their first 12 games, leaving the usual title contenders in 11th place in the Swedish league.

Örebro are in third position but knew that anything other than a win would allow top two Helsingborg and Malmö to walk further away.

But neither side managed to make a difference in front of over 10 thousand spectators at Göteborg’s Nya Gamla Ullevi stadium.

Second-placed Malmö face a potentially tough away game to fifth-placed Mjällby on Saturday, and leaders Helsingborg play away to Kalmar a day later.
