Gotze does himself a flavour

Talented German youngster Mario Gotze has showed his extraordinary talent in an entirely unusual way.

The Borussia Dortmund forward was running drills at training when he spat his chewing gum out, juggled it three times with his foot and then flicked it into his mouth.

Coach Jurgen Klopp might have been wondering if Gotze’s new skill might bamboozle the opposition as they prepare to take on Ajax in the Champions League.

Gotze is a vital cog for his national team, collecting 20 caps since his 2010 debut, and was labelled ‘one of the best talents we’ve ever had’ by former German Football Association director Matthias Sammer in 2010.

In-form Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has previously been seen performing a similar skill for a television commercial.
