Lorient boss Christian Gourcuff has admitted there is a possibility of signing his son Yoann Gourcuff from Lyon.
The France international, who was compared to Zinedine Zidane not so long ago, has largely struggled for form since arriving at Lyon and he is being heavily linked with a summer exit.
With top European sides no longer interested in his services, a move to another French club appears to be on the cards, and it looks as though the 27-year-old could be joining his father Christian at Lorient.
“Just as I said once that it was not possible, now, in the current context, it became possible,” Christian Gourcuff explained to France Football.
“There has been a change in our situation, in his, in the environment. At one point, we must also go beyond what people would say.”
Yoann Gourcuff came through the famous Rennes youth academy, but was quickly snatched by AC Milan.
Despite showing some promise at San Siro, he was allowed to leave for Bordeaux, where he has played the best football of his career.
However, a switch to Lyon did not go as planned and Gourcuff has largely been struggling to live up to the billing over the last three years.
