Gourcuff set for Lyon

(GSM) – Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyon have reached an agreement with Bordeaux to sign midfield stalwart Yoann Gourcuff.

A press release from Bordeaux confirmed about the imminent transfer of the 24-year-old.

“Olympique Lyonnais and FC Girondins de Bordeaux have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Yoann Gourcuff,” the statement said.

“This transfer will be effective after the resolution of standard precedent clause.

“This transfer will take place in preserving the interests of Bordeaux, in full agreement with the coach and the coaching staff and in accordance with the contractual commitments of the player.

“The club will have the opportunity to communicate very soon and to reaffirm its ambitions for the new season.”
