Swansea striker Danny Graham insists he made the right choice in moving to Wales and turning down a move to QPR.
Swans manager Brendan Rodgers beat off competition from the west London outfit as well as a number of other sides to complete the 3.5-million-pound signing of Graham during the off-season.
The 26-year-old has revealed the reason he moved to the Liberty Stadium was because of the free-flowing style of football Swansea play, and has no regrets about turning down a move to Loftus Road ahead of his side’s clash at home to Neil Warnock’s men on Tuesday.
He told Sky Sports News: “I went to speak to QPR and I was tempted by them.”
“They are obviously a club on the up and have a lot of money to back that up. But in terms of football, I thought Swansea was better suited for me.”
“I’m a centre-forward and can be a target man but I like to play football as well.”
“Swansea pass and move and have fast wingers so I thought it was better for my development as a player. The style of football was the main factor for me coming here.”
The English forward has bagged five goals in 13 games this season since his move from Watford, and is keen to repay the faith shown by Rodgers to make him the club’s record signing.
“To spend 3.5 million pounds is a heck of a lot for a club of the size of Swansea City,” Graham said.
“Brendan has shown how much he rates me as a player and how much he believes I can come in and score goals. I have finally got the chance to work with him and I love it.”
