Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Joe Rodon from Swansea City on summer transfer deadline day.
The former Tottenham star believes that Rodon would be a good signing for the North London club.
Roberts has suggested that the presence of Gareth Bale at Spurs is also a factor in the 22-year-old central defender potentially moving to the Premier League.
Bale and Rodon play together for the Wales national football team, with the winger having returned to Tottenham on a season-long loan deal from Spanish and European giants Real Madrid earlier this summer.
According to Sky Sports (Transfer Live blog, 6:05pm, October 5, 2020), Tottenham are interested in signing Rodon from Swansea before the summer transfer window closes today.
Joe Rodon has huge potential would be very good long term deal. Bale no doubt a big reason he could come.

Would Joe Rodon be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
Rodon is a very young and promising central defender who has not played in the top flight, but the 22-year-old has done well in the Championship and is ready to take the next step in his career.
Under Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho, the Wales international will improve and could prove to be a good acquisition in the long run for Spurs, who are rated at 9/5 by Betfair to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
