Enjoying what has been a famous start after making their La Liga return over the summer, a high-flying Granada will host relegation scrappers Real Betis on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, picking up a 1-0 win over Osasuna last weekend, Granada’s start to the new La Liga campaign has sent shockwaves across Europe. Now climbing up to third and remarkably handed the chance to enter November as the league leaders, a huge part of their stellar top-flight return has come down to some eye-catching displays at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes. Diego Martínez’s men have won their last three matches in front of their own supporters, including a famous 2-0 win over Barcelona last month. With the mood in their camp only continuing to soar, Granada have also conceded just a single goal on home soil so far this season.

As for the visitors, while the mood in Granada might be at a continued high, Real Betis are enduring what has been a woeful start to the 2019/2020 campaign. Despite opening the season dreaming of landing a European return, Los Verdiblancos are coming off the back of another dismal display in their 3-1 hammering away at Real Sociedad last weekend. Falling into the relegation zone, a huge part of their continued issues have come down to some glaring struggles at the back. With no side in Spain’s top-tier conceding more goals than Betis this season, Sunday’s guests have now conceded nine goals in their last three La Liga appearances.
