The agent of QPR midfielder Esteban Granero has revealed that his client is set to leave Loftus Road in the summer transfer window.
The Rangers are looking to offload a number of their high earners in the summer and the Spaniard is among them.
Following some decent showings in England’s top flight, Granero will have no shortage of offers, with Russian newspaper Izvestia suggesting Rubin Kazan are one of the clubs showing interest in the former Real Madrid player.
Granero’s official representative has moved to confirm reports linking his client with a summer exit from Loftus Road.
“The Londoners will have to part ways with a number of highly paid players following the relegation from the Premier League,” agent Teo Lazaro confessed to Izvestia.
“Among those players is listed the name of my client as well. Basically, we have to find a new club, despite the current agreement.”
Esteban Granero, 25, joined QPR in a shock move from Real Madrid last summer, but he couldn’t help the Rangers avoid relegation to the Championship.
The Spaniard only scored one goal in 24 league matches, but he has done nothing to harm his growing reputation in the football world.
