Borussia M’gladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka is on the radar of Champions League holders Barcelona, according to Spanish media outlet El Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalans are closely monitoring the performances of the Switzerland hotshot and could decide to step up their interest in the coming months.
El Mundo Deportivo has learned that Barcelona chief Ariedo Braida will be flying to Turin in order to see the midfielder in action against Juventus.
This is enough to suggest that the Catalans have taken a keen interest in the player who has been in fine form for club and country over the last couple of years.
The 23-year-old had had a difficult start to his career at Borussia M’gladbach, but he since developed into a key player for die Fohlen.
Since joining the club from FC Basel, Xhaka has made a total of 88 Bundesliga appearances, and he scored 4 goals in the process.
