Borussia M’gladbach hotshot Granit Xhaka is being heavily linked with a summer move to the Premier League, according to Sport Bild.
The Switzerland midfielder is now on the radar of quite a few top sides, with Arsenal reportedly closing in on a €43 million deal.
And even though die Fohlen claim they have not received an offer for their star player, chances are they will be forced to sell next summer.
Namely, Xhaka’s €25 million release clause will be activated in the summer of 2017, and the next transfer window is the club’s final chance to earn more than said amount.
The 23-year-old himself appears ready for big club move, although he never asked to leave his current employers.
Xhaka should have a key role to play for Switzerland at the Euro 2016 finals and interested sides may want to close the deal ahead of the tournament in France.
