Granqvist ‘flattered’ by Manchester United interest

In a recent interview, defender Andreas Granqvist has revealed that he is flattered by supposed interest from Manchester United. The 33 year old really burst onto the scene during the 2018 FIFA World Cup as one of Sweden’s most efficient and consistent stars, and now, he could be on the verge of a big move prior to the end of his career. Granqvist admitted that there’s nothing concrete to speak of yet, but it seems as if this could easily become a possibility in the next few months.

The former Wigan Athletic man, who currently plays for Helsingborgs IF, has been rumoured to be joining United on loan in January in a move similar to the Henrik Larsson deal from back in 2007. It certainly wouldn’t be the worst of ideas from Jose Mourinho, who is in desperate need of some defensive back-ups following a really poor start to the domestic season for United.
