Gray after lucrative new deal at Burnley

Andre Gray wants a new £100,000-per-week contract at Burnley, according to the Daily Star.

The forward, who currently earns a quarter of that figure has one year remaining on his current deal and is looking for vastly improved terms.

However, manager Sean Dyche and the club in general have moved to say they cannot meet such demands, leaving the door open for potential suitors to make a move.

Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with the former Brentford man, who netted nine times in the Premier League as his side beat the odds to retain their top flight status last season.

The twenty-five year old also bagged twenty-three goals as the Clarets achieved promotion by winning the Championship in 2016 – a tally which also saw him claim the division’s Golden Boot and be named Player of the Year.

Internationally, he was capped six times for England’s C side between 2012 and 2014, scoring two goals.
