Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has added fuel to fire when it comes to speculative reports about him potentially joining Manchester United soon.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder scored a spectacular goal at Old Trafford earlier this season as Villa pulled a surprising 2-2 draw away to the 20-time England champions earlier this month. His superbly curved shot from a considerably tight angle found its way past the helpless David De Gea into the very far-top corner and gave his team an unexpected lead in the 11th minute of the clash.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Grealish described the goal as one where he knew it was going where it went as soon as he hit it. He also said it was his favorite goal ever, as it was scored at Old Trafford – his favourite ground in the Premier League, and the ground he had always wanted to play at.
United have a transfer policy of always looking for young British talent. The signings of defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire, as well as winger Daniel James, are the product of that policy, and Grealish would also fit the bill.
