According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Aston Villa star Jack Grealish is expected to turn down any advances from Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window in order to stay at Villa Park. The speculation over Grealish’s future has been ongoing for a few years now, with Spurs constantly being one of the clubs mentioned the most in connection with a move for him.
Grealish first joined the club at the age of six, and has stated that he wants to be one of the key men in their return to the Premier League. Jack helped Villa to beat Derby County in the 2019 Championship Play-Off final earlier this week, booking their place back in the top flight in the process. Tottenham reportedly made up to three bids of around £25 million for the midfielder during last season’s summer transfer window, with the expectation being that Grealish would leave. After the arrival of Villa’s new owners, however, he signed a new five year contract to stay.
