During a recent interview, Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish noted his disappointment over not being able to finalise his move to Tottenham Hotspur. While it’s likely that he’ll always love Villa as a club it makes sense that he’d want to move on towards something bigger, with Jack referring to Spurs’ 3-0 win over Manchester United as well as the fact that they’ll be playing Barcelona in the Champions League this season.
Villa fans had almost resigned themselves to the reality of Grealish leaving, only for things to seemingly fall apart at the last minute. While it’s entirely possible that the deal will just end up going through in January instead, these extra few months that they’ve been able to have with him could prove to be crucial.
Jack also revealed that he believes if he did indeed make the jump over to North London, then by this point, he’d probably bea in the England squad.
